About
The University of Wisconsin Sea Grant Institute and the Center for Limnology announce a CD-ROM release of Fish Bioenergetics 3.0.
The Fish Bioenergetics software package includes a CD-ROM and 116-page manual and costs US $75.
Fisheries managers, fish ecologists, limnologists, marine biologists and educators alike will find this updated computer model of fish bioenergetics useful. Fish Bioenergetics 3.0 features a user-friendly interface and complete compliance with the Windows(TM) graphical user interface. (For an example of creating a simulation, see creating a cohort.)
Originally developed by University of Wisconsin Sea Grant researchers to assess the growth and food consumption of
Great Lakes predator and forage fish populations, this modeling tool can be used to estimate growth and food consumption for many fish species. It can be applied to stream, river, lake or marine environments to address a broad range of environmental variables that affect fish growth and food consumption.
