I'm a graduate student with Steve Carpenter in the Center for Limnology at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. My research focuses on whole-lake metabolism, organic subsidies to aquatic food webs, and the early warning signals of impending ecosystem regime shifts. I study small lakes in northern Wisconsin, but through the North Temperate Lakes Long Term Ecological Research program (NTL LTER) and the Global Lake Ecological Observatory Network (GLEON) I have been afforded opportunities to spend time thinking about lakes all over Wisconsin and the world. |
