Several undergraduate researchers and graduate students have spent the last two summers intercepting boaters at boat landings in Vilas and Oneida counties. Their objectives were threefold:
- To recruit participants into a trip diary program.
- To count vehicles at boat landings to assess temporal and spatial patterns of boater distribution.
- To inspect boats and trailers leaving sampled lakes to determine the frequency with which Eurasian water milfoil may be transferred out of an invaded lake.
