On 29 April 2010 the College of Letters and Science held their Annual Academic Staff Awards ceremony. This year, Marilyn Larsen, Assistant Director  for the Center for Limnology, was chosen for one of five highly competitive Early Career Awards. The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding performance in their position, show substantial promise of future contributions, and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism. It is quite an honor to receive this award, and one that Marilyn well deserves.

Quoted from her nomination letter:

"Marilyn Larsen deserves recognition and award for her service to the UW and the broader science community.  Her  excellence is exemplified in her expertise and also in her integrity, work ethic, and devotion to the UW."

Thank you Marilyn for your great work, we are so glad to have you as a part of our team.
