Turning
kids into and onto research as they use plankton nets to gather samples and
get hands on knowledge of the lake bottom.
COLLEGE
FOR KIDS -College For Kids is an exciting learning experience that seeks
to develop and challenge the gifts and talents of young students.This three
week summer program is full of workshops, demonstrations,tours and discussions.
Students
take water samples from the deck of the Limnos. This 25 foot research vessel
comes complete with Bucky Badger Pawprints. Students test the water for dissolved
oxygen, temperature and take samples of the lake bottom.
Back
at the laboratory students conduct experiments and use microscopes to learn
more about the the samples they gathered.
